My Teaching

As a member of the faculty within the acting programs at New York Film Academy since 2013, I've taught movement for actors, improvisation, clown, Shakespeare, feathering a host of joyful, playful nonsense through it all.

As a teacher I aim to empower students to cultivate the courage to live in the unknown, listen deeply, make friends with failure, invest in the personal pleasure of vigorous play, and to develop the mind-body presence that is vital to good acting. What I teach comes from the master teachers who have challenged and inspired me as an actor while training at American Conservatory Theater's M.F.A. Program, the National Alliance for Acting Teachers' Teacher Development Program, and elsewhere.

I've developed curriculum and led workshops for Premiere Stages, Govenor's School of the Arts, Florida Studio Theatre, Christopher Newport University, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and elsewhere.
